About Recipe Relay

The best recipes come with people attached. Recipe Relay gives those recipes—and the stories behind them—a place to live together.

Our traveling cookbook is a blank hardcover book mailed from friend to friend. Each person adds a handwritten recipe and a short story, then passes it on. When the book returns, contributors can order printed copies that preserve the original handwriting.

A shared ritual, not another feed

We’re building for families across cities, friends who miss cooking together, and anyone who wants a keepsake made by their people. A private chain page helps your circle follow the book’s journey.

Starting small, making it count

Our first test is 20 books with 20 friend groups. We want to learn what helps a cookbook make it all the way around a circle before growing the project.

What’s in the kit

The $39 starter kit includes a hardcover book, prepaid return labels, a contributor guide, and a QR code to a private chain page. Finished printed copies are ordered separately for about $15 each; final pricing is confirmed before ordering.
